Pita Partnership Party: Presenting The Hungry Grl Shawarma

I’m on a mission to make my actions more intentional; pursue brands and partnerships with those that work to give back in some way and work hard to do so. Now that I’ve been back in Pittsburgh for six months, I want to work to have more of an impact on the community and food scene with those that are working to do the same.

So, when I met with Jason of Pita My Shawarma to discuss ways we could work together, I knew it was a partnership that would bring nothing but amazing ideas, hard work, and good vibes. Jason has been working for the past few months to bring his food truck to life and showcase it to everyone in Pittsburgh. His dishes are authentic and so delicious. I’m drooling as I write this.

Behold the result of many conversations and meetings (and rescheduling of meetings): The Hungry Grl Special Shawarma: a chicken shawarma featuring a mango & habanero sauce. It will be available the whole month of April, so you have plenty of time to get your hands on it.

What’s more, we’re partnering with 412 Food Rescue to bring a larger community reach to our mission. For every shawarma sold, $1 will be donated to 412 Food Rescue, and for every photo of the special I’m tagged in on Instagram (whether on IG stories or in an actual post), I’ll be donating a dollar as well.

I cannot wait to see what comes out of this partnership, and I hope all of my fellow peeps in the ‘Burgh have a chance to try what Jason and I created! Check out where he’ll be servin’ up shawarma via his schedule here.
