National Ice Cream Month With Bruster's Fresh Ice Cream
/If you know me at all, you know I am a lover of ice cream. Pints, cones, cups, milkshakes... I am so here for all of the scoops and toppings. So, that's why I'm here today, to walk you through a fun and delicious DIY Summer Treat using local ice cream from Bruster's!
I love Pittsburgh for many reasons, but largely because everyone has such great and personal stories with a lot of local businesses. I love hearing everyone's childhood stories of going to Bruster's growing up, or how they went for a first date, or after every soccer game, stopping at Bruster's with the team was some of your best memories. It makes me feel like I grew up here and experienced the same moments!
For this recipe, I went to my local Bruster's and grabbed some of my favorite flavors in pints, including Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip and Chocolate Pretzel, which is a similar make-up of their new featured flavor for July, Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel. It's not to miss, trust me! The final result: Homemade Ice Cream S'mores.
For the short version of this, watch the demo video here but if you want to read the full recipe, keep scrolling!
What You'll Need:
Pints of your favorite Bruster's Ice Cream
Graham Crackers
Hot Fudge
Caramel
Marshmallow Fluff
Sprinkles
Whipped Cream
Crushed Nuts
Step 1: Get yourself some Bruster's ice cream, of course! Any favorite flavor your heart desires works perfectly, but I recommend trying the flavor of the month.
Step 2: Break your graham cracker in half... carefully!
Step 3: Open your ice cream and scoop the ice cream, putting it on one side of the graham cracker.
Step 4: This part is up to you! You can either put your toppings on, put on the top graham cracker, and put them in the freezer to set, or you can put them in the freezer and add your toppings afterward.
Step 5: No matter which step you choose, get your hot fudge, caramel, marshmallow fluff, whipped cream, sprinkles, crushed nuts (whatever your heart desires!) and assemble accordingly!
Step 6: Eat & enjoy!
There you have it, it's that easy! Be sure to check out your local Bruster's so you can create this recipe yourself, and be sure to head to my Instagram (IGTV linked here) to enter my $25 giveaway to Bruster's in honor of National Ice Cream Month!
