Beat The Heat During The Last Days of Summer with Bruster's Fresh

Summer is one of my favorite seasons: Summer Fridays, the sun setting close to 9 pm, and grilling with friends and family. Or at least that's me!

What I also love about summer is days by the pool, meeting up with friends and sharing snacks or a meal, and of course, ice cream dates after dinner. I grew up always begging my parents to take my sisters and me to ice cream after the Fourth of July fireworks or after day camp. As an adult, a perk is always taking myself to ice cream whenever I want.

This summer, I combined my love of fruit with my love of ice cream and waffle cones and came up with this beyond easy ice cream treat: meet the Fruity Summer Sundaes! Though it's pretty self-explanatory, the steps are outlined in more detail below.

Here's what you'll need:

- Your favorite Bruster’s Fresh flavors (I used vanilla & strawberry)

- Bruster's Waffle Bowls (did you know that they're freshly baked daily?!)

- Sliced or washed fruit such as strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and peaches

- Your go-to toppings, like whipped cream, caramel, and sprinkles *Be sure to prep all of the ingredients like washing and slicing the fruit and gathering your toppings.*

Step 1: Set up your waffle bowls and scoop in your flavors. Feel free to mix and match or stick to one! The choice is up to you.

Step 2: Add your favorite fruit or fruits to your bowl. The amount you want to add is endless, but be sure to save some room! For a fun addition, opt for chocolate-covered berries.

Step 3: Finish by adding your ~other toppings~ like caramel, whipped cream, and sprinkles! Add some extra crunch by adding crushed-up candy bars or nuts. You can get as creative or simple as you like. What's even better is most of these toppings are available at your local Bruster's!

Step 4: Time to enjoy and relax! This recipe is great because you can make them anywhere, and it's a great way to spend time as a group. It's like an adult ice cream party!
