A Day With Cranberry Dental Studio: My Teeth Whitening Journey
/Confession time: I’ve never had my teeth professionally whitened.
Sure, I’ve dabbled in the over-the-counter whitening strips from time to time, but I’ve never thought to have anything else dedicated to this.
…Until now. A few weeks ago, I took a trip to Cranberry Dental Studio for the first time (and honestly, it was my first trip to Cranberry ever) to see what the hype was about.
First and foremost, it was definitely the coolest dentist's office I’ve ever been to. They play great music, the chairs are heated, and the staff is so kind (and very knowledgeable about the PGH food scene). I met Dr. Brian and Rob Klaich, and we spent the first 30 minutes (at least) chatting about our food travels and favorite spots around the city.
Then, I spent the rest of the afternoon with Sam, and we started the Zoom! Whitening process, which really begins with teeth cleaning. From there, we started the whitening treatments, which consisted of 15-minute intervals of gel and light, which I spent both napping and watching Guy’s Grocery Games.
Now that it’s been about 3 weeks since my visit, I have some answers to your Q&A’s and some follow-up thoughts of my own! But first, enjoy a photo of my teeth the day after the whitening…
…And about two weeks later.
The main question I was asked was, “were your teeth sensitive?” I normally don’t have too sensitive teeth on a daily basis, and during whitening, I felt only a minimal touch at the last moment. As far as post-whitening, my teeth were only sensitive that night (which I was giving relief gel for). When I woke up the next day, I was feeling back to normal.
The hardest part was probably holding off on any foods that would stain my teeth right after whitening. Especially always drinking coffee, but I made it. I was also given whitening trays and gel for a touch-up in a few months if I see fit.
Overall, I’m glad I had the experience, and my teeth are definitely (realistically) whiter. I’ve gotten a few compliments on my teeth as well!
If you’re interested in booking a discounted Zoom! Whitening appointment, use my link through 6/30. It makes a great gift or just to treat yourself as the summer kicks off!
A big thank you to the Cranberry Dental Studio team for making me feel awesome, and be sure to reach out with any other questions you may have.
